Hiten (FCA) qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994 with Ernst & Young. Post qualification, he moved into the investment banking sector, as COO of Prime Brokerage at UBS.
Hiten’s passion for property stems back to his childhood days, having helped his parents develop and manage their property portfolio in Nairobi, Kenya.
In 1995, he bought his first buy to let investment in partnership with his university friend, Mahesh Patel. Whilst both partners were employed in the City, they were acquiring rental properties as part of their long term pension plan.
When the buy to let market began to mature in the late 1990’s, the partners decided to “Build to Let” to maintain margin. With this change in strategy, Mahesh founded and ran full time the property development arm in 2001. With this growing activity, Hiten joined the Group on a full time basis in 2006.
For over 18 years, the Group has been acquiring property. In the last 13 years, the Group has obtained planning permission and developed many varied schemes, keeping the developed properties in their rental portfolio for long term hold.
With a strong background in finance and property, the Group has survived the property downturn, and is well positioned to grow substantially over the coming years.
